WIAW #2 No Cooking Required!

Well this is my second What I Ate Wednesday party!  Thanks to Jen at Peas and Crayons for hosting!  And without further delay, let's get the party started!

For breakfast I had my normal bowl of cereal with soymilk.  I'm not lactose intolerant, but I am trying to watch my cholesterol, as it runs high in my family and mine has been high in the past.  Since soymilk has no cholesterol, I use it in my cooking and with my morning cereal.

I had lunch with a co-worker and we went out to a Mexican restaurant. I had a chicken quesadilla with beans and rice.  I'm sure it wasn't the healthiest choice, but it tasted soo good!  I couldn't even wait to take a picture before I dug in!  I also had a few tortilla chips and salsa.

I had lunch at 11:30a, so by 4:30p I was hungry and I had Zumba from 5p-6p, followed by a 35 minute drive home, so I thought I should grab a snack. I had a peanut butter Cliff Bar, but did not take a picture of it.  I have recently discovered Cliff Bars.  I'm not sure how good they are for you, but they taste really good. I should research them...

Dinner part one was a salad made of romaine, spinach, shredded carrots, cheddar cheese, three chicken nuggets and fat free Western dressing, which is my favorite kind of dressing.  Also a Cutie and some cucumber.  Then I went over to my parents, because my brother and sister-in-law are up visiting.  He is in the army and they just spent a year in Korea.

This is my sister-in-law, Arleigha, my brother Eric and myself after his graduation from boot camp. <3...but I digress...

Dinner part two was my mom's homemade lasagne and some garlic bread, which is one of my all time favorite meals, so I couldn't turn it down! And then...

...there was cheesecake.  Sara Lee's New York style cheesecake...how could I say no to that?  Well I couldn't. YUM!!  Beverages today, I had two mugs of green tea (one mint and one pomegranate and acai flavored) and water.  And this concludes my eats today!  Thanks for partying!!

What is your favorite homemade meal from your childhood?

  1. Favorite? Only one?! I mean, there's the Lopez Surprise, the three or four different variations of Lopez Breakfast Surprise, Goulash. . . There are so many choices! I just don't know. . .
