Food

I have recently discovered a couple things that seem to be healthy and are delicious.

The first food is V8 Fusions.

These are a great mix of vegeatble and fruit juices, now with a kick of green tea. The nutritional label seems to check out. (You can find info on the product here). Sugars are 10, but in the ingredients they list sucralose (a type of sugar) at the bottom of the list. In case you don't know ingredients are listed by the ingredient they use the most of to the least, so since sucralose is towards the bottom, it shows us they didn't use much. It's safe to assume most of the sugar in this is from the natural sugar in the fruit.

The ingredients are actually all things that I have heard of and can understand, which is rare in this age. Also on the label it says each serving gives 1/4 cup of veteables and 1/4 cup of fruit, plus it has green tea abstract, which contains some natural caffiene. By drinking this with breakfast, not only will you get a start of your fruits and veggies for the day, but you get a small bit of caffiene to wake you up! It's a win-win!

Second food is a waffle snack.I wanted to have some peanut butter, but I was getting sick of having toast. I decide to toast a waffle, smear some peanut butter on it. I topped it off with some honey. This is so delicious! I used Aldi's Fit Active Multigran Waffles. You could use an all-natural or organic peanut with it to make it even more healthy, or your own homemade waffles!

What are your favorite healthy snacks?

  1. Peanut Butter is good, but has way too many calories per serving for the diet I've been living off of.

I found out just today that pickles have 0 calories (or so the label said). Talk about a perfect snack (if only they had less sodium).

  2. I think you can get a low calorie peanut butter. Some of the organic ones probably. I'm going to have to look into it. One good thing about peanut butter is the protein. I'll post when/if I find a low cal peanut butter.

I love pickles. I wonder if bread and butter pickles are the same in calories....I'll have to look into that.

    Thanks for commenting!!
