First The Good News...

Well hello again everyone!

You might remember a while back I put out a challenge to maintain your weight for the holidays. I had two people respond and join me in this effort. Some people might spend their holidays scarfing their weight in food *coughcough*whome?*coughcough*.  Not these two.  They took the holidays and made them their _______  well you know how the saying goes.  They not only maintained their weight but even lost some over the holidays!  A pretty fantastic feat, if you ask me!

CONGRATS GUYS! YOU ROCK!!!

Some of "my weight in food" that I scarfed on Thanksgiving
I was curious on what tips and tricks they used to get through and what advice they might give others.  Luckily they were nice enough to share it with me and allow me to share it with you!

 T&A
Tips and Advice:

"...tired to be more careful about what I was eating when I wasn't at parties."

"...setting my calorie threshold lower than I wanted it to be.  While I have a maximum number of calories I allow myself to eat everyday, I make my goal lower than that, just in case I make a mistake."

"...lots of walking at work, trying (and mildly failing) to get to the gym three times a week, and sticking to my diet outside holiday meals."

"Be more active. Something as simple as walking in place while watching TV can boost the metabolism."

We all deserve to splurge once in a while.  The holidays are a great time for that, but when not at holidays get togethers, maintaining a work out routine and eating healthy can save your waistline!  These two nailed it and because of it, ended the holidays feeling good about themselves.

And eat..she knows how to eat...
As for myself...the holidays did not end so pretty.  I'll share my story next time!  In the meantime, how did you do over the holidays?  What was your favorite part of your holiday celebrations?  What about the holidays are you happy is over?

    1. Well my next post will be about how awesome I did (sarcasm implied).

The important thing to not let it distract us from our goals. We aren't always going to be perfect, but we when stumble and fall, we have to get back up and keep going!! Otherwise there's no way we'd ever reach our goal.

So don't let it get you down! There's no time like the present to turn it around!!
